The Opportunity Class (OC) Placement Test is designed for academically gifted Year 4 students seeking placement into Year 5 OC programs in NSW public schools. New Test Format – Effective from 2025
As of 2025, the OC Placement Test has transitioned to a fully computer-based format. It consists of three key components:

Selective High School Placement Test Preparation
The Selective High School Placement Test is designed for academically gifted Year 6 students seeking entry into Selective High Schools and Agricultural High Schools across New South Wales for Year 7. These schools provide an enriched and accelerated curriculum for high-achieving learners.
The test is held annually in May, with results typically released by July.
2025 Test Format – Now Computer-Based
From 2025, the Selective Placement Test is delivered online and includes four components:
